Ammonia is a compound of nitrogen and hydrogen with the formula NH3.

Although common in nature and in wide use, ammonia is both caustic and hazardous in its concentrated form. It is classified as an extremely hazardous substance in the United States.  It is subject to strict reporting requirements by facilities which produce, store, or use it in significant quantities

Ammonia is highly soluble in water and extremely toxic to fish. Fish farm owners must monitor and maintain careful control of ammonia levels, to ensure optimum water conditions for their stock.

Milwaukee offers the Mi407 microprocessor-based instrument with greater resolution, better accuracy and immediate results for measuring low concentrations of Ammonia (from 0.00 to 3.00 mg/L).
